Christen Vargas

At All God's Children Daycare, our purpose is to educate, inspire, and empower children and families by providing high quality daycare to our community. Our emergent based curriculum is built in direct response to the children’s scholastic interest and needs and what the children need to learn about how to be a kind human. By partnering with community members, businesses, maternity and recovery homes, the Oregon Department of Human Services, and other entities, we assist families who are struggling with the cost of daycare by providing financial assistance and scholarships. We also take a holistic and flexible approach to caring for both children and families and staff, as we are able. We use our network and resources to meet the additional needs of the families that we serve and the staff we employ.

Our daycare started with a nudge in the heart of founder, Kathy Brooks, who felt strongly that she was being called to open up a daycare center. She left her 6 figure corporate finance job to partner with teacher, Christen Vargas, and embark on a journey led by faith that resulted in a beautiful place to work and play!

Our environment is warm and inviting like a home, but also provides the accountability of a daycare center. The founders/directors know all of the parents/guardians personally, and teachers are encouraged to ask parents how they are doing and to follow up on any topics that come up.

Children are celebrated for who they are, yet are encouraged and challenged daily to grow in their humanity and faith.
